The CalChess Grade-Level Championship chess tournament is considered one of the most prestigious scholastic chess events in Northern California due to a combination of history, tradition, and state champion titles. Beyond the hunt for the title, this event allows our region’s youth chess players a chance to meet and compete with other players who are in their grade. I will be in attendance at the Sonesta Silicon Valley on November 14-15 to do game analysis and take photos. Participating in the CalChess Super States: Grade Level Championship is always an amazing experience for our scholastic players and I look forward to seeing all of my NorCal youth chess friends play together again.
