2025 US Amateur Team West Chess Tournament

Attending the 2025 US Amateur Team West Championship chess tournament In Milpitas, California was an absolutely delightful experience. This chess tournament always brings together a vibrant mix of familiar faces and opportunities for new friendships. Wandering the hallways, I could see how reuniting with old friends added a comforting sense of camaraderie to the event for many. At the same time, the atmosphere in the skittles room was buzzing with the energy of newcomers eagerly waiting for the next round to start in their first team tournament. The event was very well organized and the expert tournament directing staff kept everything running smoothly. All and all, the level of organization, the blend of friendly familiar faces and enthusiastic new players made the 2025 US Amateur Team West chess tournament a very memorable gathering for the NorCal chess community.
