Halloween Blitz Chess Extravaganza 2021!

Greetings Chess Players. My name is Chris Torres and this is my Daily Chess Musing for Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

I am really excited to announce the return of The Daily Chess Musings’ Halloween Blitz Chess Extravaganza! The structure will be identical to last year meaning that the event will be comprised of 5 minute rated blitz tournaments on Chess.com hosted by Daily Chess Musings and will occur from 4:00-7:00 (Pacific Time). The Halloween Blitz Chess Extravaganza competition is open to chess players under the age of 21 and participation is free. For every victory in the Halloween Blitz Chess Extravaganza, players will receive one raffle ticket which will be entered into our Halloween raffle. At the end of the evening, we will hold a live raffle to award $300 in gift certificate prizes for any chess item available in the Musings Merchandise section of DailyChess Musings.com (including anything from American Chess Equipment.)
To be eligible to participate and win prizes, chess players must:

Remember to be a good sport and play fair. As with all Daily Chess Musings activities, fair play and good tournament etiquette will be strictly enforced. Any players suspected of cheating or behaving inappropriately will be immediately disqualified. All judgments by the Daily Chess Musings staff will be final. Chris Torres is a nationally renowned scholastic chess coach working in the San Francisco Bay Area. His classes have attracted players of strengths ranging from rank beginners to world champions.
