Recently, I received an interesting question from a chess student and his father.
Question: Coach Chris, Can you tell us if it is humanly possible to get a 100% accuracy score on chess.com?
Answer: Yes, it is most definitely possible to achieve a 100% accuracy score on chess.com. In fact, I win games with a perfect accuracy score fairly regularly. However, the longer the game in total number of moves the less likely it is to play 100% accurately so most, if not all of my perfect games are under 20 moves. Additionally, the accuracy rating on chess.com is simply a relative measurement of how closely our moves match their chess engine’s analysis and therefore some otherwise flawless games may end up with an accuracy score below 100%. Attached below is my latest perfect chess game according to chess.com’s accuracy metric.
