Chess puzzle training plays an important role for enhancing tactical abilities in chess players. By regularly attempting to solve puzzles, aspiring players can sharpen their pattern recognition skills and calculation abilities. Through consistent puzzle practice, players develop a keen eye for spotting tactical opportunities in their own games, leading to improved results and higher ratings.
Today, I sat with my son as he solved puzzles on chess.com. I did not interfere with his first attempt at solving each puzzle because it is important to allow children the opportunity to solve problems on their own and gain an accurate puzzle rating. However, when he incorrectly answers a puzzle, I am always happy to help him understand why his answer was wrong and give him hints to spot the correct solution. I hope this video inspires other parents to join their children during chess puzzle training sessions as training together makes the process more fun for young players.
