FIDE Candidates Homework

Greetings Chess Players. My name is Chris Torres and this is my daily chess musing for Tuesday, May Fourth, 2021

The FIDE Candidates Tournament 2020-2021 in Yekaterinburg, Russia was a notable event not just because of the long pause in the action but also because of the exciting and hard fought chess games between the contestants. Studying high-level games from such historic tournaments is a fun way to improve our chess game. To help you with this process, I have selected six positions from the 2020-2021 FIDE Candidates Tournament to test your tactics. The first puzzle is relatively simple and then each puzzle thereafter becomes progressively more challenging. Have fun doing this special chess homework assignment taken from the games of the 2020-2021 FIDE Candidates Tournament. I’ve placed the link to this chess puzzle set in this video’s description. Also, be sure to watch and continue rewatching the Daily Chess Musings YouTube chess lessons on the 2021 FIDE Candidates Tournament games to maximize your joy and understanding of top level chess.
